School of Economics at Shandong University (SDU) is currently inviting applications for positionsat Chair Professor, Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in all areas of economics. Founded in 1901, SDU is centrally located in east of China and is one of the oldest universities in China. School of Economics maintains an excellent position as an institute for research and teaching and attracts an international group of students and faculty. It offers a broad range of subjects in all areas of economics.
Specifications:
1. Chair Professor (Distinguished Investigator)
The appointed candidate will be expected to play an active role in enhancing the School’s international reputation and contribute to the development of scientific research activities. A successful applicant is expected to have:
Doctorate in Economics from a leading oversea institute;
Evidenced world-leadingreputation for excellence in research;
Research active, as evidenced by more than three articles published in top internationally recognized peer reviewed journals in economics or related disciplines (top 20 equivalent);
Full Professor or equivalent working experiences;
A track record of competitively awarded research grants;
Effective team working skills and strong commitment to an environment of academic excellence.
2. Professor (Senior Investigator)
The appointed candidate will be expected to contribute to research and development of the subject area. A successful applicant is expected to have:
Doctorate in Economics from a leading oversea institute;
Evidenced international reputation for excellence in research;
Research active, as evidenced by at least two articles published in top internationally recognized peer reviewed journals in economics or related disciplines (top 20 equivalent);
Associate Professor or equivalent working experiences;
Effective team working skills and strong commitment to an environment of academicexcellence.
3. Associate Professor (Investigator)
The appointed candidate will be expected to conduct research independently and contribute to innovation of knowledge. A successful applicant is expected to have:
Doctorate in Economics from a leading oversea institute;
A track record of publications in internationally recognized peer reviewed journals in economics or related disciplines (top 50 equivalent);
Postdoctoral or equivalent research experiences;
Effective team working skills and strong commitment to an environment of academic excellence.
4. Assistant Professor
The appointed candidate will conduct research independently and contribute to innovation of knowledge. A successful applicant is expected to have:
Doctorate in Economics at the time of appointment from a leading oversea institute;
Qualification to publish one paper in internationally recognized peer reviewed journals in economics or related disciplines (top 20 equivalent) or two papers in internationally recognized peer reviewed journals in economics or related disciplines (top 50 equivalent) within 5 years;
Teaching load of 4hours per week at undergraduate or graduate level;
Effective team working skills and strong commitment to an environmentof academic excellence;
